Debut Album to be Released Fall of 2014

VANCOUVER (April 3, 2014) In an official announcement today from Eli Bennett's Facebook fan page, Eli announced that his debut album as leader of the Eli Bennett Quartet will be released in the fall of 2014 on Addo Records (distributed by Conveyor Canada through Universal Music Canada). Eli heads into the recording studio in early May; check out for a behind-the-scenes look into the recording studio!

Eli Receives Two Leo-Nominations for Best Score

VANCOUVER (May 12, 2013) The 2013 Leo-Award-Nominees were officially announced today with Eli Bennett receiving two nominations for Best Musical Score in a Short Drama for "Escape Act" and "Reset". The Leo Awards (Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia), celebrates artistic excellence in British Columbia Film and Television. Bennett Awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal!

VANCOUVER (Jan. 31, 2013) - In an official ceremony held today at Canada Place with BC Premier Christy Clark, Bennett, along with 85 other British Columbian's, was awarded Canada's prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty's accession to the throne. Recipients of the medal have made a significant contribution to a province, territory, region or community within Canada, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada. Bennett Wins 2012 Vancouver Mayor's Arts Award!

VANCOUVER (Sept. 21, 2012) - Eli Bennett was recently awarded the 2012 Vancouver Mayor's Arts Award for Emerging Artist by Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson.  Held Sept. 20th, 2012 at the Roundhouse Community Arts Centre, the official Ceremony honoured award recipients and emerging artists from a range of categories including studio arts, performing arts and lifetime achievement.

2011 Fred Sheratt Award from MusiCounts and CARAS in Toronto!

Toronto, ON – June 29, 2011 – MusiCounts honoured the 2011 Fred Sherratt Award recipients in a presentation today at the Bell Media building in downtown Toronto. The 5-year partnership with CTVglobemedia, now Bell Media, gives the award to outstanding post-secondary graduates of Canadian music programs from the twelve partner colleges and universities. Special guests on hand for the ceremony were Fred Sherratt and Melanie Berry, President & CEO, CARAS/The JUNO Awards & MusiCounts. Each recipient was given a monetary award of $3500 as well as an all-expenses paid trip to Toronto to attend the reception and take in a behind the scenes tour of MuchMusic and Bell Media Radio.
